The Game Awards have quickly become one of the major dates on the gaming calendar in the past five years, with last year's show proving something of an extravaganza with more than ten games being announced at the show. It's been confirmed now that this year's awards will be taking place in Los Angeles on the 12th of December.

The founder of the show, Geoff Keighley, has stated that there will be even more reveals at the show this year, and will "celebrate the art of creation" with various teams revealing their new games on stage.

The show will be held at The Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles, with tickets now on sale ranging from $70 to $200.
