Activision has confirmed that the next Call of Duty game will be revealed before the end of June, during their recent investors conference call - with rumours suggesting it may be the next entry in the Modern Warfare series.
During the call, Rob Kostich, the president of publishing, stated that they planned to reveal the game later in the quarter, and that they felt "incredibly good" about the title, which promises an entirely new single-player campaign.
it was also mentioned that the game will be "rooted in some of the franchise's most important history" and that there would be focus on longevity this time around.
We need to do even more to maintain the breadth of our Call of Duty player base beyond the launch quarters, and the Call of Duty team is hard at work on that for this fall’s big content release.
Rumours suggesting the game may be Modern Warfare 4 have been circulating since some exclusive American Footballers were shown a sneak peak, and a video of the event seemed to have the words "Modern Warfare 4" buried somewhere in the background of the audio, although we've not been able to confirm that.
E3 is going to be taking place on June 11th, it's likely we'll see the big reveal then, if not beforehand. We'll be at E3 with live coverage so we'll be bringing you all the latest on this as it happens.
