Fans of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt rejoice, this rather expertly done mod will allow you to play through the game from a first person perspective, giving the game a whole new lease of life.

No doubt you've spent endless hours roaming the vast environments that The Witcher 3 has to offer, but it's amazing how a different camera angle and make something familiar feel fresh and new all over again.

This new mod from SkacikPL is very much a long labour of love - the camera has been reworked in detail to allow for a solid first person experience. There are even videos documenting the development, which will give you some idea of the level of effort and skill which has gone into making something which sounds simple, but yet isn't at all easy to do properly.

A lot of the problems with simply moving the camera and attaching it to the players head have been overcome. Without making major changes to the way the camera works, the headbob makes the game almost unplayable. As you can see in the above video though, these issues have been addressed in the proper way.

There are some drawbacks at the moment, though. The mod isn't compatible with combat, currently, so any combat will result in the camera returning to the traditional third person view. That's not necessarily a bad thing, though.

If you're looking for a mod that will allow you explore the wonderful environments of the game from a closer, more intimate perspective, however, then this mod is definitely worth checking out for your next playthrough.
