Assertions that Assassin’s Creed 3‘s PC launch will be delayed were allegedly incorrect. Speaking at a San Diego Comic-Con panel, Ubisoft creative lead Alex Hutchinson said that the PC version would release after the scheduled October 30th launch date for consoles, but when reached for comment, a Ubisoft spokesman has since reported that this information is incorrect. Assassin’s Creed 3 for PC is still slated for an October 30th release.

Whether the Hutchinson’s claim was due to miscommunication, human error, or an unintended leak remains unknown. If is not uncommon for Ubisoft to delay the PC release of its titles, with the PC version of Assassin’s Creed: Revelations delayed by half a month and Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood released months after its console version.
