Ever since gaming legend Cliff Bleszinski announced his departure from Epic Games in early October, the industry has been speculating where Cliffy B would be heading next. Some recent tweets by the former Gears and Unreal developer suggest that he is being courted by Ubisoft and that he’s met with them to discuss things further.

The first tweet read:

Hotel called my room. A package for me? Inside? A fully charged phone with one # programmed and the Ubisoft logo on the backdrop. Now what?

— Cliff Bleszinski (@therealcliffyb) November 14, 2012

While that tweet alone could have been viewed as joke — as many believed to be the case — Bleszinski went on to tweet photographic evidence to back up his claim:

What, you thought I was kidding about the phone?! twitter.com/therealcliffyb…

A later tweet confirmed that Bleszinski was meeting with Ubisoft for dinner, as well as Quantic Dream Founder and CEO David Cage:

Lunch with David Cage, dinner with @ubisoft. #whatsnext

If Bleszinski joins Ubisoft, what new IP can we expect? Assassin’s Gears?
