Assassin’s Creed: Unity didn’t impress like Ubisoft first hoped it would, partly thanks to extensive glitches throughout the game. Now Ubisoft is responding not only with an apology, but free DLC for its customers.

“Unfortunately, at launch, the overall quality of [Unity] was diminished by bugs and unexpected technical issues,” Ubisoft Montreal head Yannis Mallat wrote in a blog post. “I want to sincerely apologize on behalf of Ubisoft and the entire Assassin’s Creed team. These problems took away from your enjoyment of the game, and kept many of you from experiencing the game at its fullest potential.”

To bring the apology home, the Assasssin’s Creed: Unity – Dead Kings DLC will be completely free for all users. Season pass holders who already purchased the DLC will be provided with a free copy of one of the following games:

  • The Crew
  • Far Cry 4
  • Watch Dogs
  • Assassin’s Creed Black Flag
  • Rayman Legends
  • Just Dance 2015

A new patch expected to fix many of these bugs is due later this week.
