Ubisoft announced the eighth mainline entry in The Settlers series, called simply The Settlers, because using the reboot naming policy is completely necessary and will not confuse anyone. The official trailer is apparently CG so we do not know how the game will play, but we can see that it will at least look pretty good. It is due fall 2019.

But this is not all. They have also announced The Settlers: History Collection, which will be a collection of The Settlers 1-7 with some tweaks. It is due 15th November 2018, while you can already find the History Edition of the original Settlers from 1993 on uPlay. The expansion packs for these are not mentioned, and it is known that some expansions for The Settlers IV never exited Germany, and the Vikings expansion for The Settlers II: 10th Anniversary was only ever released in German, Czech, Polish and Russian speaking markets.
