Posted on January 16, 2013, CJ Miozzi Ubisoft Reveals F2P Hack & Slash “The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot”

Ubisoft has a quaint new project in alpha: The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot, a free-to-play title for the PC that has you hack and slash your way through castles designed by other players.

Currently accepting registrations for the game’s alpha, Ubisoft describes the game’s setting as “an outrageous medieval fantasy world called Opulencia where wealth, status and showboating are the name of the game!”

The game appears to support three different classes: the archer, the mage, and the knight, which seem to follow the standard ARPG formula. The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot’s most interesting aspect is the castle building, which lets you start by creating a layout from “tons of available room combinations,” then populating it with minions that ranged from “fuzzy baby spiders to kill-crazy giant Cyclopses,” and finally adding traps.

That name is a mouthful, though.
