Ubisoft Toronto Managing Director Jade Raymond has confirmed it: the studio is working on a new Splinter Cell title to follow up with last year’s Conviction.
As Eurogamer points out, this is the first time Raymond has actually referred to the project as Splinter Cell 6, although she did say in May that the project retains the core team from Splinter Cell: Conviction.
Raymond also said in a promo video that Ubisoft Toronto is looking to expand to at least 800 employees over the next decade. Another 83 people have been hired this year, and development on Splinter Cell 6 is already ongoing. The new Splinter Cell title is one of five AAA titles Raymond said she wants to make in Toronto simultaneously.
If you’re looking for a job in video games, sounds like it might be a good time to move to Toronto.
