Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be Naughty Dog’s final entry in the franchise.

That, at least, is the claim of voice actor Nolan North who plays series protagonist Nathan Drake. Speaking in a recent interview he expressed that the latest game may be “the last one Naughty Dog wants do.”

“It’s bittersweet but at a certain point you want to go out on top,” said North.”If this is the last one indeed, and I believe it’s the last one – nothing’s confirmed, but I believe it’s the last one Naughty Dog wants to do, in which case I hope somebody else doesn’t pick up the mantle because they’ve done it so well for so long.”

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End was, of course, unveiled just a few days ago at Sony’s E3 2014 press conference. The game had previously been teased prior to launch of the PS4 but soon found itself at the center of internal turmoil at Naughty Dog as key members of the development team departed the company.
