If you live in Japan, chances are you aren’t reading this. Still, if you live in Japan and happened to pick up Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune for PS3, you may have noticed the lack of blood in the game. While it’s not unusual for a game to be censored in this way for its Japanese release – Resistance is one other PS3 game that’s a similar case.

Kotaku is reporting that – regardless of the region the game was produced in – Japanese PS3s will censor the game. While there were methods for getting around Resistance’s censorship, Uncharted seems to have itself covered. Note that parental controls apparently have nothing to do with the matter, and it’s simply a matter of Japanese PlayStation 3s if this forum thread is to be believed.

While it must be rather odd shooting people and not see blood come out, Uncharted is so good, that, who really cares?
