In this trailer, game director James Ohlen talks about what new features and content will be coming to the Old Republic in the coming months. It sounds like the BioWare gang has been listening to community feedback, because we can expect to see guild banks and user interface customization, as well as other features we’ve been waiting for.
On the topic of PvP, Ohlen said:
PvP is going to be a big focus for us. You’re going to see a new Warzone. You’re also going to see new features. One of the most important features for players that are fans of PvP is the ability to rank themselves, to see how they’re doing against other players.
The game desperately needs more than three Warzones, but what I would really love is a few more Huttball maps. I hated Huttball initially, but I can’t get enough of it now. I’d just like a little more variety in terrain.
Ohlen said this about the Legacy system:
The Legacy system actually allows each one of your new characters to join a family tree, and all characters within that family tree gain benefits. It’s going to unlock abilities and powers that you normally wouldn’t have access to.
I’ve been eagerly awaiting the Legacy system to be expanded beyond just sharing a family name among characters — that Legacy XP bar has been filling up, unsure of what it’s meant to do.
What features are you looking forward to most?
