Valve will be sending out its 300 SteamOS-powered Steam Machine prototypes to beta testers soon, so we should expect the Internets to be filled with details and thoughts on the hardware in the not-too-distant future. But what do the people who actually make games think of the living room PC? We should find out in mid-January. That’s when Valve will host its inaugural Steam Developer Days conference.
Valve announced Steam Developer Days with a basic website, noting that attendees will have “direct access to Valve’s Steam Team, and will be given a chance to test-drive and provide feedback on Steam OS, prototype Steam Machines and Steam Controllers.”
The two-day event is not open to the press, but given that a number of devs have already shared their thoughts on Steam Controllers, it’s safe to say they’ll open up about SteamOS and Steam Machines shortly after the conference.
So stay tuned. Valve’s Steam Developer Days is set to run from January 15 to 16 in Seattle.
