Posted on May 18, 2007, Shawn Sines Video Game Sales Up 20%

wii.jpgUS sales on video games and hardware are up 20 percent from April a year ago. Much of the increase in sales is attributed to Nintendo Co. Ltd’s astounding success with new games for the Nintendo DS handheld and the Wii console. Nintendo Wii accounted for 58 percent of the console sales for the month.

Sony hopes sales will pick up the rest of the year as they release new titles to flesh out their library.
