Crytek has put together a new trailer for Warface, this time showcasing the game’s real-time weapon customization system.
According to the studio, Warface offers a wide variety of multiplayer options, with both player-vs-player (PVP) and player-vs-environment (PVE) modes that see teams of players going up against AI-controlled opponents in a plethora of co-op missions not unlike the campaign missions designed for Crysis and its sequels. Warface is the first game by Crytek to feature a class-based system with extensive weapon and skill unlocks.
The weapon customization system allows players to modify their weapons on the fly in battle, without having to escape to the main menu to make any changes. The feature is relatively new for an FPS, and was first seen in Crysis, its sequel, and more recently, Crysis 3.
Powered by the same engine that drives Crysis 3, Warface is a free-to-play FPS by Crytek. It’s currently in closed beta and will launch on the Gface social gaming network.
