Posted on August 18, 2013, Ian Miles Cheong Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf is a Turn-Based Tactical Card Game
Games Workshop has greenlit a new Warhammer 40,000 game in cooperation with HeroCraft. It’s a trading card-centered turn-based game called Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf for the PC, Android and iOS platforms. The game is due for release in 2014 as a ‘free to play’ title, though details of that remain elusive at the moment.
The game is due for release next year and involves building a deck of cards that represent Space Marines and their abilities, all of which are rendered in 3D.
How the game plays out is pretty simple. Each turn, characters are given an assorted allotment of cards, which represent attacking, moving, and equipping defensive or offensive abilities. Sounds a bit like the free-to-play title, Card Hunter, but with Space Marines instead of adventurers.
