Starting today World of Warcraft players can pre-order the Warlords of Draenor expansion.
The expansion, which is set to deliver a slew of new improvements to game including improved characters models, a new world, player built garrisons and higher level cap, can be pre-ordered for a $49.99. A digital deluxe edition can also be pre-purchased for $69.99.
While some might want to wait for the expansion to actually release, Blizzard is adding some perks to the pre-order process that it likely hopes will draw in prospective customers. Most notably, pre-ordering the expansion will earn players an automatic level boost that they can use right now to jump a character up to level 90. It should be noted, of course, that the expansion itself will also come with this level boost at launch.
Likewise, players reluctant to buy the expansion but interested in jumping levels can purchase a level 90 boost for $60 from the World of Warcraft section of the Battle.Net shop. At that price, it would, of course, arguably be worth it just to pre-order the expansion which actually costs less.
While Blizzard has to confirm anything, reports have indicated that Warlords of Draenor will likely launch “on or before” December 20th, 2014.
