The entire concept behind Verdansk '84, the new map for Call of Duty: Warzone, was to give the developers an opportunity to build a new environment from scratch, to avoid the issues that the existing game had with cheaters and glitches. Sadly, that plan seems not to have paid off, as players are already glitching their way under the map to cheat.
By glitching under the map, players can kill opponents easily, while they can't be seen or hit themselves, effectively making them invincible. It's incredibly easy to do, too - so much so there's plenty of videos on Reddit showing you exactly how to do it. In fact, everybody seems to be at it, which is really sad, because it's making the experience pretty poor right now.
Indeed, the game's director Amos Hodge stated this past week that cheaters are ruining the "best work I've done in my life" with their behaviour. It's a real crying shame and probably proof that we probably don't deserve nice things, right?
The glitch exists in multiple areas of the map too, troublingly. The airport, stadium, train station, TV station and a number of areas downtown all seem to have ways to glitch through and underneath the map. To make it worse, there's an easy way to get back out of the void under the map using the zipline, so players who use this glitch can even get back out again should the circle come for them, and get to the final endgame.
Given the map is only a few days old, it's a bit troubling to see so many areas of the map being exploited already - but hopefully, patches and fixes won't be too far behind.
