Wasteland 2 has earned more than $1.5 million since its release.

The game, according to its developers at inXile, has apparently been selling like hotcakes since its release last week on September 19th. It’s a success that the company is understandably excited about.

“We are ecstatic that the style of game we love so much has been embraced so well,” said Brian Fargo, inXile’s founder.

It’s worth noting, of course, that inXile raised (and presumably spent) more than $3 million in crowdfunding efforts aimed at funding Wasteland 2. That being the case, it would appear to be well on its way to making it back the money spent on its creation. While we’ll have to wait and see, of course, just how well it winds up doing in the long run, something tells us that we don’t need to worry about this game’s fortunes going forward.
