Posted on April 7, 2014, Ron Whitaker Watch Dogs PC System Specs Revealed, Steam Pre-Orders Live
You can now pre-purchase the Steam version of Watch Dogs, the new open-world title from Ubisoft that has had gamers talking since it was revealed at E3 2012 – assuming your PC can handle it.
Over the weekend, the Steam page for Watch Dogs was updated to allow pre-orders, as well to add the final PC requirements. The update also shows off the newest pre-order reward, called the Blume_Agent_Pack. It contains an outfit and a weapon perk that’s usable in the single player campaign.
As to the system requirements, while they aren’t overly onerous, the recommended specs might outstrip a few machines out there. Take a look:
OS: Windows Vista (SP2), Windows 7 (SP1) or Windows 8 (Must be 64 bit.)
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 @ 2.66Ghz or AMD Phenom II X4 940 @ 3.0Ghz
Memory: 6 GB RAM
Graphics: DirectX 11 graphics card with 1 GB Video RAM – Nvidia Geforce GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD 5770
- OS: Windows Vista (SP2), Windows 7 (SP1) or Windows 8 (Must be 64 bit)
- Processor: Eight core – Intel Core i7-3770 @3.5 GHz or AMD FX-8350 X8 @ 4 GHz
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: DirectX 11 graphics card with 2 GB Video RAM – Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 ti or AMD Radeon HD 7850
You’ll also need 25 GB of hard drive space, which is a lot less than you might expect for an open-world title. Watch Dogs might not be the hardest game to run, but if you want to max out your settings, you’re going to need some horsepower in your box.
