Posted on August 14, 2012, Ross Lincoln Watch Remember Me – Official US Trailer
Ok, this is almost enough to make me believe Capcom is still able to make half decent games. I mean, look at this. Asymmetrical hair, hoverplanes, a Parisian setting, it’s like Perfect Dark meets Total Recall combined with the 5 or 10 unpretentious minutes of Inception. I could maybe do without what sounds like a dubstep soundtrack, but otherwise, Remember Me actually looks really cool.
The plot centers around the development of technology that turns memories into commodities. Much like inception, people can buy and sell them, alter them, even erase them, which is what happens to the player character, a so-called Memory Hunter named Nilin. Having run afoul of her employers, they’ve wiped her clean. Remember Me concerns her attempts to discover the reason why. And, presumably, survive as well as kill a ton of people. As I said, it actually sounds kind of great. It’s due May, 2013.
Ah, who am I kidding. Surely there will be DLC included on the disc or something, right?
