We’ve talked about BioWare’s San Diego Comic-Con panel, “Charting a Course: Developing the Next Mass Effect,” at length at this point, but now you can watch the panel yourself and draw your own conclusions.
BioWare posted the panel on Not-Mass Effect 4 in its entirety on YouTube today and you can see the full hour-long video, with panelists Producer Mike Gamble, Lead Animator Carl Boulay and Senior Artists Noel Lukasewich discussing a few experiences in working on the still-distant new entry into the franchise.
Be warned before you commit an hour to the panel, however, that it’s not full of much information. Yes, BioWare did introduce the armor models for player characters, announced that the Mako will return to this new game and showed it in action, but that’s about all the substance to be found. The rest was questions and answers about the potential of the new game, with Gamble and the other panelists refusing to commit to really any new details about what we’ll be seeing in the new Mass Effect. The answers can be enlightening, but nothing is nailed down at this point.
Check out our analysis of some of the comments made at the panel, and let us know what conclusions you draw from the panel and the questions that got answered along the way in the comments.
