Posted on September 1, 2013, Ian Miles Cheong Watch This Live Demonstration of Dragon Age: Inquisition
Footage of a live demo from Dragon Age: Inquisition has surfaced at PAX Prime 2013, showing off just how much bigger the world is set to be, along with some other details.
The Bioware developers provide narration throughout the entire demo, explaining each of the game’s systems on display to an audience hungry for information.
Among other things, the game’s new combat system is put on display, and it looks very much like a combination between the reactive, brawler-based combat of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning and the tactical team-play of the Mass Effect games. For example, players can swing a chain at distant enemies to pull them to their location to attack them at close range, and also issue commands to their teammates.
Be sure to check out the video for a look at the game in its current, and already impressive state. Not bad for a game that’s only scheduled for release in Fall 2014.
