Posted on April 8, 2014, Phil Hornshaw Watch Dogs Season Pass Lists New Campaign, Playable Character
It seems Aiden Pearce isn’t the only character in Watch_Dogs whose hacking-heavy story you’ll experience.
According to GameStop‘s online sale page for the Playstation 4 version of the Watch_Dogs season pass, part of the post-release schedule for the game includes new single-player content. The page suggests a “unique Single Player Campaign,” in which players will take control of a new character — although the listing doesn’t clarify just who that might be. (Click the image above to see a full screen cap of the listing.)
Here’s the direct quote from the page:
“Stay connected to the world of Watch Dogs with the Watch Dogs Season Pass. Get access to a unique Single Player Campaign featuring a new playable character plus more missions, weapons, and exclusive content for $19.99. That’s an over 30% savings versus buying each piece separately.”
Ubisoft previously mentioned that Watch_Dogs would have some 35-40 hours of story content, so it seems players will be getting even more story out of the game with the addition of the DLC. But details are thin: beyond who the character is, we don’t know how long the DLC will be, or whether it’ll take place concurrently with Aiden’s story, before or after it — if it’s related at all.
We’ve reached out to Ubisoft for more details about the post-release DLC in the season pass and the second single-player campaign, and will update with any information.
Watch_Dogs releases on May 27 on PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
