Posted on October 29, 2013, Phil Hornshaw We Freak Out at SCP Containment Breach on Phil and Phil vs. Horror
Happy Halloween Week! As part of Game Front’s horror coverage for this All Hallow’s Eve, Game Front Contributor Phil Owen and I have decided to try our hands at a little video. We’re calling it Phil and Phil vs. Horror.
You’ll find our first attempt below, in which we play indie title SCP Containment Breach. If you’re unfamiliar with the SCP universe and you’re a horror fan, you’ll be delighted to know it’s one of the most interesting and strange things on the Internet (read up a bit here). In Containment Breach, a first-person horror game that features no weapons, lots of fleeing and an eye-blinking mechanic (yup), the goal is pretty much to flee from horrific monster-things before they murder you. When Phil and I head into the facility, we find ourselves dead — a lot. There’s also a fair amount of screaming.
Fair warning: We swear some throughout the video, so consider it NSFW. Pants-crapping terror has that effect sometimes.
Check out Game Front’s previous HorrorScope column episode on the world of SCP for a little more info on the game.
If you like the video and would be down with us playing more horror offerings, be sure to hit “like” on the video, leave a comment, and subscribe to the Game Front Walkthroughs YouTube Channel.
