Posted on September 13, 2013, Mark Burnham When Can You Read Game Front’s Grand Theft Auto V Review?
There’s this little game series you may have heard of called Grand Theft Auto. People like it I hear. The last one came out five years ago, and now GTA V is out next Tuesday September 17–but the official review embargo lifts one day prior, Monday September 16 at 7:00 AM PST.
Game Front will be playing the game through the weekend, but given the scope of the game we’re going to let that embargo breeze right on by, so we can take all the time we need to explore Los Santos in all its glory.
Ross Lincoln (follow him on Twitter) will be writing our review. Ross told me the first thing he’s going to do in the game is make a B-line for Grapeseed and see if it’s “wine country” (eye roll…). Seriously though, Ross is what I’d call a Grand Theft Auto expert. He knows the series extremely well, and furthermore he’s a Los Angeles resident, the inspiration for GTA V’s Los Santos. All this to say, Game Front’s GTA V review will be one you’ll want to check out. Expect it to hit late next week.
But wait, there’s more…GTA V videos
Also, right when the embargo lifts, you can expect to see some GTA V gameplay videos from James “TheHean” Heaney (follow him on Twitter). James will be playing through the story, completing missions, providing his James-like commentary, all that good stuff. Subscribe to the Game Front Walkthrough channel on YouTube and stay tuned.
Wait, there’s still more?
Yeah, there is. So, given that we’re not going to post our official review until later next week, during the week we’re going to do a daily post called “GTA V Moments with Game Front.” It’ll just be a daily post where different Game Front writers share something cool/unique/notable they experienced in the game–and we’ll open it up to you guys, and we can chat about it.
Here’s James playing the “San Andreas” mod for GTA IV to get you in the mood.
Anyway, seriously, it’s been five years. Who’s ready?
