Posted on November 11, 2014, Phil Hornshaw Where’s GameFront’s Assassin’s Creed: Rogue Review?
If you’re following the games industry on Twitter at all today, you’ve probably already heard why there are no reviews for Assassin’s Creed: Rogue just about anywhere.
The short answer in GameFront’s case is: we’re waiting on a review copy of the game, which is supposed to be arriving today. If it doesn’t, then it’s off to the local game emporium to purchase a retail copy. In any case, GameFront was not given early access to the game, and we haven’t been able to review it, so we can’t recommend it one way or another.
Since today is launch day, we make our usual recommendation: Hold off buying AC: Rogue until you’ve had a chance to read some reviews, whether ours or someone else’s. And stay tuned for our review, which will be coming as quickly as we (more accurately, I) can manage it.
That might be good advice regarding Assassin’s Creed: Unity, too, while we’re talking about it. Early adopters are reporting big framerate issues and videos of graphical bugs have been floating around the Internet even pre-release. Our Mitchell Saltzman is currently churning on that review, so keep an eye out for it later today.
