Posted on April 8, 2011, Phil Owen White Knight Chronicles II: Coming to America This Summer
I totally played White Knight Chronicles… for about three hours. Once I realized that the game’s main character was NOT the little dude I had painstakingly creating with the game’s character editor, I was done. Unfortunate, considering it wasn’t bad, really. Anyway, D3 Publishing has picked up North American distribution rights for the Level-5′s White Knight Chronicles II, and they’re bringing it over in the summer. How exciting! No, really, I’m happy about this because it means I’ll have a new JRPG to try this summer aside from stupid Record of Agarest War Zero, a game I won’t dare touch after the other Agarest War game molested my will to live. (Just so we’re clear: Record of Agarest War is EASILY the worst JRPG I’ve ever played.)
Even though White Knight Chronicles II includes a full copy of the first game (although apparently the North American version won’t force you to beat it before playing the sequel), I think I’d probably better dive back in sooner rather than later, because it’s just too much to ask any sane person to play them both in a row.
