Resident Evil 4 for the Wii Hits Stores Today

Months of praying, fasting, self-mutilation, and pining have finally brought my dreams to fruition. For you see, today, the Capcom gods smiled upon me and blessed my gaming soul with its fondest desire. Resident Evil 4 for the Wii console hit stores today.

Tonight, I will be Leon Kennedy – the dashing Secret Service agent for the Federal Government trying to rescue the President’s daughter who is being held captive in Europe by a secret cult. I will battle diseased/zombified villagers, a monk who looks like Rasputin, a chainsaw wielding maniac with a burlap sack over his head, unspeakable scientific experiments gone wrong, and a demented dwarf. I will rid the land of giant monsters, recover a virus sample, befriend a wolf and break women’s hearts. Until I complete my mission, I will not eat, I will not sleep and I will probably loose my job – but that is the price you pay for being Leon Kennedy.

By the way, I was kidding about the self-mutilation, and to be serious for a minute, Capcom did indeed release RE4 for the Wii today. This is the same award-winning RE4, only revamped for the Nintendo Wii and incorporating the control functionality of the Wii Remote. Plus, as we reported back in May, Capcom is selling this classic at a suggested retail price of $29.99, which is a good thing for your wallet. I was so excited to get this game, I ran two red lights on the way home.

Now, without further ado, I am going to go play my game. If I am not back in a week, please send Dr. Pepper, pizza rolls, and food for my dogs.
