Gizmodo reported on the possible discovery of a Wii Internet Channel exploit that could pave the way for homebrew on the Nintendo Wii. There really aren’t any solid details on this exploit so far, but the report comes from a reputable source. The idea of homebrew on the Wii could really peak the interests of hardcore gamers and brew addicts. Exploits are typically bad for business, but I think a little homebrew activity on the Wii could really boost it’s popularity even further.

We don’t have a lot of details, but some “hackers” have found an exploit in the Wii Internet Channel’s Flash player implementation. What does this mean to you? Well, if they take this exploit all the way to the end, it means you can possibly run unsigned, home-brew code on the Wii.
