It’s quite an expensive update this week, with three games costing a total of $29 being added to the Virtual Console and WiiWare catalogs. Ninja Combat (NeoGeo, 900 points) is the lone VC game this week. It’s a beat ‘em up with ninjas, which is a fine premise for any game to be based upon.

The pair of WiiWare games includes Protothea (1,000 points) and Toki Tori (1,000 points). Protothea is shooter, where you control a ship with the simple goal of destroying all sorts of things that you’re unable to identify. Exciting.

Toki Tori was originally a Game Boy Color game; it’s a puzzle/platformer with a cutesy appearance that certainly looks more entertaining than its lame, fellow WiiWare release this week.
