Posted on November 28, 2012, Ross Lincoln Wii Mini Priced At $99.99 (Canadian Dollars Only)
If you’re American, at least an American like me, then you spend a lot of time seething with jealousy over the benefits of membership in the great white north. Lousy Canuck’s with their excellent, comprehensive health care benefits and amazingly delicious maple cookies! *SHAKES FISTS WITH RAGE*
But luckily, news has emerged that makes everything almost better. It’s been announced that Canada – for now, anyway – will be the sole country to suffer the onslaught of discounted Nintendo power in the form of the Wii Mini. The new device – as you can see above, a smaller, redder box that comes with a wiimote and nunchuck – is compatible with 1300+ Wii games, which means it’s compatible with about 4 actually good games. Alas, it doesn’t support wifi, which is fine since Canada’s Internet isn’t the best, and it’s not backwards compatible with Gamecube games. But it’s practically dirt cheap, just the thing if you want o give someone a nice dust collector this Christmas.
No word on whether or not it will be released elsewhere; for now, it’s strictly Canadian. Via VG 24/7.
