The World Cyber Games has announced plans for the WCG Grand Final 2007. 700 gamers representing 74 countries will be competing for medals and a share of $500,000 in cash and prizes.

“This year’s gamers are phenomenal and with a record 74 countries competing in 2007, the Grand Final is sure to be the best event in our seven year history,” said Hyoung-Seok Kim, CEO of International Cyber Marketing, organiser of the WCG.

“The addition of Samsung Mobile, Razer, Thermaltake, Kingston, AMD, Sapphire and Samsung Optical Disc Drive (TSST) to our list of current sponsors provides us with the biggest and strongest roster of partners we’ve ever had.”

Competing finalists are some of the finest gamers from around the globe including the 2006 PGR 3 champion, Wesley Cwiklo of the US, PGS Gaming, the 2006 Counter-Strike champion of Poland, FIFA ’07 champions Daniel and Dennis Schellhase from Germany, and Warcraft 2005 and 2006 champion Xiofeng Li of China.

Spectators will watch players battle it out on 12 different PC and Xbox 360 games as well as have a chance to participate in a number of educational symposiums and speaking engagements free of charge.

The WCG Grand Final 2007 is scheduled for October 3-7, in Seattle, Washington.
