Posted on March 6, 2012, Ross Lincoln Xbox.com Product Listing Reveals Assassin’s Creed 3 Multiplayer
It seems that Xbox is the place to go for “accidental” spoilages of critical information about upcoming games. Just 2 weeks ago, a leak to XBLA accidentally spilled the news of Mass Effect 3′s Prothean Squad member. Now, a day after the official announcement of Assassin’s Creed 3′s plot and October 30 release date, Xbox has done it again with AC3′s official product page. Yep, Assassin’s Creed 3 has multiplayer.
Naturally, this isn’t that huge of a shock. Previous Assassin’s Creed games have also contained multiplayer elements. The difference here is that it might to be cooperative multiplayer. Online features state “Online multiplayer 2 – 8″, which implies teams with member limits rather than the free for all multiplayer of games-past. No official word yet, but the information has not been removed, suggesting, for now at least, that this is canon. We’ll keep you posted.
