Soon you’ll be able to enjoy free-to-play games on Xbox Live, starting with castle siege title Happy Wars.

The game is due out sometime this fall and is supposed to be able to handle 30-player matches. You’ll create a customized fighter and take the melee battles to other players, but it appears as though things like magic will also play a part as you fight other fighters and storm castles.

Of course, when we say free-to-play, that’s with the caveat that you’ll need an Xbox Live subscription in order to access the freeness. So slightly less free, really.

Anyway, here’s a trailer.
