Microsoft announced today that they will be temporarily cutting the price of the Xbox console for the holiday season.
The Xbox One has been lagging behind the PlayStation 4 in sales ever since the two consoles launched. While that may be disappointing for the folks in Redmond, they certainly aren’t resigning themselves to a second-place finish. In an effort to spur sales during the all-important holiday season, Microsoft is knocking another $50 off the price of any Xbox One console, and that will include several current and upcoming bundles as well.
A post on the Xbox Wire revealed the discount, which will run from November 2, 2014 to January 3, 2015. The bundles mentioned include the Xbox One Assassin’s Creed Bundle ($349), the Sunset Overdrive bundle (which includes the white XB1 for $349), and the Limited Edition Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Bundle ($449).
If you’ve been waiting for a price cut to pick up an Xbox One, here’s your chance. Now we’ll have to see if Sony wants to offer any sort of similar holiday special.
