Posted on October 8, 2013, Mike Sharkey Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z Coming to Steam, Too
Because PC gamers want to play as a cyborg ninja with mecha arms and hack the limbs off of zombies, too, dammit.
I like to imagine that’s the answer a Team Ninja developer gave to one of his bosses at Tecmo Koei when asked: “Why should we make a PC version of Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z?”
Whatever the real answer was, it was good enough. Tecmo Koei just confirmed that Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, previously believed to be a console-only hack and slash, will also make its way to Steam in early 2014.
In this over-the-top, comic-book-style Ninja Gaiden spin-off, players become Yaiba Kamikaze, a warrior who was evidently one of the countless victims of franchise hero Ryu Hayabusa. A mysterious organization brought him back to life in the form of a cyborg, and now Yaiba wants revenge. But first, might as well dispatch of the zombie horde.
This one looks nutty. See for yourself in the trailer below:
Okay then.
No official release date beyond “early 2014″ or pricing were announced.
