Can somebody explain to me why we need zombies in our non-zombie games? I remember the first time I played the zombies mode in World At War, and I was like, “meh, I didn’t get this game because I want to kill zombies,” and then I never played it again.
However, we always sorta knew that someone at Treyarch or Activision, someone who undoubtedly makes more money than me, would decide it would be a good idea to put money and resources into a zombie co-op mode for their big blockbuster title for the year, and Treyarch’s Mark Lamia has confirmed that suspicion today.
Zombies have been such a hit with our community that we were committed to bringing brand new zombie experiences to Call of Duty: Black Ops. We’ve taken extra special care to retain the essential ingredients of our Zombie game, and have also crafted a nice surprise for the fans.
Co-op zombies! Yay! I’m not going to play this mode unless I’m really drunk (which I will be, and so I will play this mode.). But you guys have fun! I wonder what the nice surprise could be! Game’s out on everything on November 9.
