Posted on September 6, 2012, Phil Hornshaw Yet Another Mass Effect 3 Bounty Weekend Starts Tomorrow
The latest weekend event for Mass Effect 3 is starting soon, requiring players to blast through 10 waves of a level on any difficulty, and if they get hurt, to just walk it off.
Operation: Vigilance is all about escort missions. Apparently, Reaper attacks (or something) have damaged Alliance equipment out there in the galaxy, and it’s your job to go help probes fix that damage. You like babysitting probes, right? It sure was fun in the Leviathan DLC (read: it was not fun in the Leviathan DLC).
Still, the real challenge is not in making sure the probe does not get ravaged by enemy forces, but in showing what a tough brute ass-kicker you are. The squad goal for the weekend is to get through 10 waves of an escort mission without using consumables. That means no medigel, which means no healing. So make sure your squadmates know you ain’t got time to bleed (but also make sure you have time to duck).
The Allied goal for the weekend is to complete 250,000 such escort missions. Jeez, that’s a lot of crap that got broken, huh.
Achieving your squad goal gets the individual players a Commendation Pack, while Allied goal success will give all players a Victory Pack. The bounty weekend runs Sept. 7-9.
