OK, so it’s not as bad as it would seem based on my sensational headline. Here’s the deal.
According to Reuters, Sony Japan ISP So-Net got hacked, and the hackers made off with $1225 in virtual currency. That’s not really that big a deal at all, but it looks so much worse than it actually is in light of that whole “PSN went down for four weeks because hackers stole every member’s personal info” thing that’s going to be hanging over Sony’s head for a long, long time.
How cool is this virtual bank robbers thing? It’s like a movie, except in a movie they’d have stolen a lot more. Are there people out there who can do this kind of thing with Microsoft Points? If so, please get in touch with me. (I’m kidding, of course. I don’t want to commit a crime. [No, really, email me. {I'm seriously joking. Don't talk to me}])
