Posted on February 15, 2012, Phil Hornshaw Your Annual Assassin’s Creed Update Will Be Assassin’s Creed 3 on Oct. 30
Ubisoft absolutely cannot wait to get you to buy a new Assassin’s Creed game – not even a whole year since the last game’s release.
The company announced today by way of an investor call that Assassin’s Creed 3 is the update that’s coming this year, due to hit store shelves on Oct. 30 (and PC about 30 days thereafter, if history holds true). Ubisoft says the game has been in development for three years and is set to be “the biggest launch in Ubisoft history.” Hmm.
We don’t know a lot about the next game in the Assassin’s Creed series, although Ubisoft has said that it’ll feature a new protagonist now that the storylines of Ezio and Altair are concluded. As for what historical era and locale the next game will tackle – well, we have a few ideas. And there’s a rumor about the American Revolution.
