Posted on June 21, 2012, Ross Lincoln Yulp; THQ’s Vice President Resigns
Either things are worse than they appear, or new CEO Jason Rubin is really shaking things up behind the scenes. Documents released as part of THQ’s most recent SEC filing confirm that Vice President Teri Manby, who also serves as CAC and Corporate Controller, resigned on June 14. He will be replaced by outgoing Senior Director of Financial Reporting, Rose Cunningham, and will remain with the company until July 6 to assist with the transition.
This is the second big news to come out of THQ in as many days. Yesterday, THQ announced that the planned Saints Row: The Third expansion Enter The Dominatrix had been cancelled, less than 2 months after being announced. Content created for the now-aborted game will be included as part of “a vastly expanded, full-fledged sequel” to Saints Row: The Third. That, along with Manby’s resignation, suggests that whatever else Jason Rubin may bring to the company, normalcy isn’t one of them. No doubt more such resignations will come as Rubin works to stave off THQ’s impending NASDAQ delisting.
