Nintendo has confirmed that Princess Zelda will be back in the fight when Super Smash Bros. comes to Wii U and the 3DS in 2014. A princess that needs no introduction, Zelda’s appearance in SSB Wii U/3DS marks her third appearance in the Smash Bros. franchise (she is not in the original N64 brawler, but is playable in SSB Melee and SSBB). You can check out the full Zelda SSB Wii U/3DS gallery here.

A new map has also been teased: Rainbow Road. The famous Mario Kart track (that is typically the longest track in whatever MK game it appears in) will appear in SSB Wii U/3DS. Details are few at the moment, but it will be a “cruise-type stage,” meaning the fighting platform will float through several sections of the track.
