The game developers at Zombie Studios have released first footage of their upcoming horror game, Daylight. Contrary to the name, players will find themselves mostly trapped in the dark throughout the entirety of Daylight.
Developed in the brand new Unreal Engine 4, Daylight will see you delve into an abandoned ruin with only the light of a cellphone to guide your way through. You’ll get better sources of light later on, but expect to rely on the dying light of your phone for the most part.
According to Zombie Studios, players can expect to have a different experience each time they play through the game.
“Daylight introduces gamers to a procedurally generated world that replicates the horrifying nature of Daylight over and over again, but creates a different environment for each new game. Each time the player begins a new game, they experience a new world with new content and encounters; from the layout of the building and the things they seek to the events they encounter, it is never the same experience twice.”
It’ll be out on Steam sometime soon, with additional chapters available after launch.
