Deathsquad Industries San An Road Train

		    VERSION 1.0

+------------------------------------------------------+
[ ABOUT THE MOD ]

I said even before San Andreas came out on the PC that
I was going to do this, and thus here we are. This mod
will allow you to create Road Trains, multiple trailers
being pulled by a Tractor Trailer with no major changes
done to your game. Simply replace the baggage cars at
the airport with these trailers, and they will connect
together, and connect to the Linerun, Road Train and
Tanker trucks.

I am more or less positive that R* had intended on
making Road Trains for San Andreas, as when I started this
little project, Alexander_ of the GTAForums pointed out
there was an unused trailer called "RDTrailer" in the IMG.
Low and behold, it was a trailer for the Road Train truck.
The trailer was similar to one of the original in game
trailers, except for the 5th wheel on the back. But this
feature was never used.

By using the Baggage Cars from the airport which already
connected to each other, it was the simple matter of replacing
the trailes with full size models. It was also found that you
can connect the utility trailer to these trailers if the Model
Dummies are setup correctly. At this time the Article Trailers,
the ones you pull with the Tractor Trailer, do not work with
this system. It is possible to connect the trailers, but due to
no front axle, they will lean forward and be unstable. It may
be possible if an invisable axle is placed on the front of the
trailers, but the MISC_A Dummy which is used as the rear
connection dummy, is used as the landing gear on those models.

This mod comes with four trailers, two trailers which are used
to make up the Road Train, and the last two which are flatbed
trailers which can be used at the end of the road train. Other
trailers -will not- hook up to the rear of this trailer, despite
the placement of dummies.

ALL MODELS are recrafted from the original Road Train Model,
they have mostly been retextured and rebuilt. The flatbed
trailers will carry vehicle, as I created the WIDE LOAD trailer
for the insane people who wish to tow the Bulldozer or the Tank.
The flatbed trailers will hook up with the Utility Truck.

The BAGBOX trailers feature several extras, namely the billboards
on the side and the "How's My Driving, 1-800-Kiss-My-Ass" Bumper
stick. On the flatbeds you can spawn the trailer with or without
the rear ramp. Either way the ramp is always present.

[ BUGS ]

I am not a good modeller, as these models were not created by
me, only edited and crafted to their current shape. The collision
files are namely the major problem, you will find at times they can
go through certain objects in the game if you swing them hard enough.
Anyone who wishes to take the time to do some touch up work on the
models can feel free, please notify me that you are doing so, and
send me the files so this mod can be updated.

[ MORE ABOUT THE MOD ]

I. How the Trailers Connect....

The trailers of course must be connected in a certain
order. BAGBOXA is the much larger trailer and will connect
to your truck. BAGBOXB will connect to BAGBOXA from behind,
and you can connect multiple Bag-B trailers together to form
the train. UTILITY trailer can only connect to the rear of
one trailer, as other trailers cannot connect behind it.

--> NOTE: The TUGSTAIRS trailer should be able to be used
the same as the utility trailer.

[ Tractor Trailer ]-+-[ BagboxA ]-+-[ BagboxB ]-+-[ BagboxB ]-+-[ BagboxB ]-+-[ BagboxB ]-+-[ Utiltr1 ]

BAGBOXA can be used with any Tractor Trailer vehicle.

BAGBOXB can be used roughly any hitch type vehicles such as the
utility truck, baggage truck and that other airport baggage vehicle.

UTILTR1 can be used the same as BAGBOXB.

The ARTICT1, ARTICT2, and ARTIC3 trailers cannot be used with the
road train models (these are the original tractor trailers). But
they can hook up to certain models.

II. Connecting the trailers together....

The best method for connecting the trailers together
without much hassle is getting it down to where you can
walk the correct distance, and spawn them almost directly
behind each other. You can use your character to push the
models side to side, forwards and backwards. If you get the
two trailers aligned but the trailer you are trying to
connect is too far forward, pull the trailers up with your
truck. Always connect the truck first. Also the DOZER makes
it easy to push the trailers around with.

III. How Long can the Road Train be....

Roughly you can pull three trailers behind your truck
with this mod. Due to the game physics adding more than
3 will usually cause one of the trailers to disappear,
sometimes the first trailer to the truck, or if you're
lucky to get all 4 connected, the rear trailer tends to
vanish. The amount of vehicles around you such as parked
cars and traffic can determine this factor, so using the
"low traffic" cheat is recommended for 3+ trailer trains.

--> NOTE: In the United States a truck with 2 or 3 trailers
is known as a DOUBLE or TRIPLE.

It is possible to make a very long road train by using the
SA Camera Hack. I have personally made 10 trailer trains with
this method. Its good to know how to use the camera mod first
though. With the Camera Mod on, turn on Free Look. Either
draw the camera very far away, or start connecting trailers
and keep pulling the truck forward. This will allow you to
connect multiple trailers without them disappearing. Its also
good to have a saved position to the far rear so trailers will
not diappear, and within this view mode is how you might want
to connect the trailers.

IV. Handling....

As any truck would be, be gently while driving, take curves
at a slow pace, and watch out for sharp hills. The handling
of the trailers is setup in a good position, sometimes the
trailers will bounce if being pushed on by certain things.
Going over hills at a fast rate of speed can cause a ripple
effect with your trailers, causing them to disconnect. I've
personally crashed a 6+ trailer road train while speeding over
the hill on the north approach to the Gant Bridge. But I have
also seen the trailers basically flip on their sides and stand
back up with disconnection.

San Andreas for the most part is not built to handle such
long road trains, 3 cars is a good number but curves and such
in certain areas may be hard to travel around. Stick to the
highway systems.
