The Story of this Car

a long time ago before i made my first delorean for gta3/VC, i was scrolling though 
www.gta3.net and came across a Toronto police Ford Crown Victoria, it was good execept for 
the blury textures, but then my computer crashed and i had to reload windows XP, and then 
i got VC, but after days and days searching on www.gta3.net trying to find the car, it 
wasent there, i think they must of removed it

J-man tried to update it a long time ago to.. but never got around to releaseing it,
well i decided instead of wineing about it, why not make my own!, so here it is,

INSTALLING
---------------------------------
To install the car you need Spooky's IMG-Tool which you can find at www.g-t-a-3.de or 
www.gta3.net in 
the tools-section. 
and you will need Steve's Collision Map Editor
and a GXT editor
You also need DMagic1's Wheel Mod

1. Installing the model:
- open the file "gta.img" in your models-folder with IMG-Tool
- search for "police.dff" (with F3)
- Extract it to a back-up folder, then delete it
- add the file "police.dff" from the zip-file (with CTRL+A)

2. Installing the texture:	
- open the file "gta.img" in your models-folder with IMG-Tool
- search for "police.txd"
- Extract it to a back-up folder, then delete it
- add the file "police.txd" from the zip-file


3. Installing the handling:
- make a backup of the file "handling.cfg" in your data-folder
- open the file "handling.cfg" and change the Police-line like that:

POLICE          1600.0 2.1 5.0 1.6 0.0 0.0  0.15 75  1.05 0.78 0.52 5 200.0 28.0 4 P 11.1  0.53 0 35.0  2.0  0.12 0.2  0.24 25000 0.20 -0.12 0.5  0.0		9002100         0  1



5. Installing the wheels:
- make a backup of the file "default.ide" in your data-folder
- open the file "default.ide" and change the Police-line like that:

156, 	police, 	police, 	car, 	POLICE, 	POLICAR,		null,	ignore,		10,	7,	0,		249, 1.0


6. Installing the Car name:
- make a backup of the file "american.gxt and english.gxt" in your TEXT-folder
- open the GXT editor
- open the "american" and/or "english" .gxt files in the gtaIII/TEXT folder
- in both files search and rename the line that says "police  (next colum) police" to "Toronto Police", then save both files

(don't forget to install the wheel-mod!)
That's it!
