GENERAL INFORMATION ____________________ CREDITS: Much of the credit goes to Barton Waterduck, spin, and Demarest. They have been a great help to me in my modding experience. This mod also uses samples or sources from them. The rest is by me (brokenfish). FEATURES: o Completed game stripped script. + No Hidden Packages. + No Rampages. + No Unique Stunt Jumps. + No Insane Stunt Bonuses. + No missions or sub-missions. + All clothing pickups. + All radar icons (of "good" people). + Bonus weapon pickups. + Bonus attributes (taxi jump, unlimited ammo, fast reload, never get tired , 250 health, 250 armor, fireproof). + Bonus mission objects (moneybags, shovel, damaged paintings, trophies in Vercetti Estate). + Bonus mission threads (rob the bank at any time, bodyguards (modded)). o Absolutely invincible. + DO NOT fall into water!!! o Car totally immune (except to Rhino/buildings, of course). + Everything-proof, tires unpoppable, heavy car, doors lock. + Hold handbrake while stopped to unlock (to allow for passengers). o To clear wanted level, hold "Look behind (Look left and Look right together)" for one second. o brokenBoost: NOS-like boost (more like rockets), with blue flames and shaking screen. It's a very controllable boost. + Press the sub-mission button while in a vehicle to activate. Boosts progressively, lasts as long as button is held. o Helicopter hover enhanced. + Hover button in helicopters should now act more "hovery," with less sinking. o Game time passes in realtime, weather changes every 15 minutes. o Various new parked vehicles in different places, some changed, some taken out. o Speedometer and speed gauge. + Measures approximate MPH of the vehicle. Also shows how much of the maximum speed you are going at. o I left a few surprises in Pole Position... + Originally inaccessible interiors now opened. UPCOMING: + Swimming or water-walking will be implemented. + Street races will be added back in when I find time. + More properties are owned, like Moist Palms Hotel, Hooker Inn, Escobar International Airport, North Point Mall, maybe others. You can have any other non-mission mods installed, but I recommend having no map mods that alter the Vercetti Estate mansion model. ____________________ 3a. INSTALLATION - MANUAL ____________________ 1. Go to your Vice City installation directoy. Example: C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto Vice City\ 2. Back up data\MAIN.SCM and TEXT\american.gxt. To do this, either just make copies of them into a new folder, or make copies and rename the copies so that you know they are backup files. 3. Extract the contents of this package into your Vice City installation directory. Example: C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto Vice City\ 4. Remember that this is a mission script modification and you will need to start a new game! ____________________ 3b. INSTALLATION - VCMM ____________________ 1. Extract brokenMod_I_05b.vcm to your VCMM directory\mods\vcm\. Example: C:\VCMM\mods\vcm\ 2. Run VCMM. 3. While in 'Manage' mode, find the entry for 'brokenMod' version '1'. Select it by clicking on it once. 4. Once it is highlighted, click 'Install' from the top bar. The 'Installed' status of brokenMod should now appear as 'General.' 5. Remember that this is a mission script modification and you will need to start a new game! ____________________ 4. UNINSTALLATION ____________________ 1. Go to your Vice City installation directoy. Example: C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto Vice City\ 2. Delete the data\MAIN.SCM and TEXT\american.gxt files. To do this, either just make copies of them into a new folder, or make copies and rename the copies so that you know they are backup files. 3. Either rename the backups that you made to the original filenames or move the backups from the new folder you created into their original positions. ____________________ 5.
