1. Introduction

Thank you for downloading my Blackbird model. It's my first plane model. My full-size blackbird will be released soon, but I've still got some work perfecting that one.
Some info about the real SR-71A Blackbird:
Type: Tandem-seat strategic reconnaissance aircraft.
Powerplant: 2 afterburning Pratt & Whitney J58 turbojets, each of 13494 kg static thrust.
Performance: Maximumspeed 3523 km/h, operational ceiling approx. 85000ft. Range at least 5311 km without flight refuelling.
Weights: Empty: 27215kg, maximum take-off weight 77112 kg
Dimensions: Wingspan 16.95m, length 32.74m, height 5.64m, wing area 167.3 sq m

2. Installation
Install rcbaron.txd and rcbaron.dff into gta3.img using Spooky's IMGtool. It's also recommended (though NOT obligated) that you change these settings:

* in handling.cfg:
Replace the original rcbaron line with this one:

RCBARON          150.0 1.8 1.0 0.2 0.0 0.0 -0.1  99  1.10 1.0  0.50 1 200.0 135.0 4 E 5.5   0.50 0 25.0  1.6  0.1  0.2  0.08   300 0.28 -0.08 0.5  0.0		40000		0  1

This will make the plane take off a lot easier than default.

* in default.ide:
Replace the original rcbaron line with this one:

194, 	rcbaron, 	rcbaron, 	car, 	RCBARON, 	RCBARON, 		null,	ignore,		10,	7,	0,		249, 0.25

You must have DMagic1's wheelmod installed for this to work. If you don't have the wheelmod, do not change the line.
Alternatively, you can the wheels to another number, and wheels will appear. I chose a non-wheeled version because most of the time you're looking at the flying version, and I prefer flying vehicles to have no wheels. Wheels will appear in the right positions if you change the wheeltype.

I used Zanoza Modeler to make the model. It was completely created from scratch. A lot of useful info was found at http://www.sr-71.org/ . Also a lot of thanks to everyne who has helped me in any way to create this model.
