VC Complete Cobblestone Streets v2.0 by DiCanio

This Mod turns ALL** the streets of Vice City into kool
granite stone cobbled ones. This gives both islands a
very unique olde worlde look. Given that Vice City is 
a small island, and the local government have better 
things to spend their money on (like million dollar
marinas for their swanky boats), I think it appropriate 
that the roads still sport hard wearing cobbles.

Tools you will need:
IMG Tool v1.3
GTA Mod Installer v2.1

Grab them at the url's listed above.


Instructions:
1. GEN1 & GEN2 folders:
Replace BOTH Generic.txd files in the GTA3.img 
file. Be careful that you replace the correct one. You 
can tell the difference by the size. The Generic.txd 
in the GEN1 folder is 348kb - so make sure the file 
it's replacing is the same size.
Likewise, the Generic.txd in the GEN2 folder (236kb) will
replace the file of the same size in the GTA3.img file.

2. TXDs.zip file:
a. Fire up the GTAMod Installer. Choose the 'Select a 
script file...' option. 
b. Choose the 'I want to select the ZIP file that has 
the Mod's files and script file' option. 
c. Point it to the TXDs.zip file from this Mod then 
search for your VC install dir if the program doesn't 
find it. 
Now see that baby go! 

Please remember to make a backup copy of your GTA3.img 
file in case you want to revert or to extract original 
files.

3. You can of course replace all the TXDs manually if you
so choose. Just use IMG Tool and do Search & Replace 47
times ;o) But cpmusick's Mod Installer is the way to go!
It's a real time saver and takes the worries out of large 
Mods like this. GREAT work cpmusick!!

** NOTE:
I decided to leave Starfish Island with modern roads. It's 
a sort of self-contained enclave of nouveau riche and the
people there (it seems to me) would want their estate to be
different from the hoi-polloi - so to speak ;o)
However, if you want to cobble Starfish Island so that the 
whole of Vice City is the same just add both textures in 
the Starfish Island folder to your gta3.img file and 
replace their namesakes. 

I've included original generic.txd's just in case ;o)

Remember to check whither your files are Read-Only. This is a
common problem with Vice City. Grab this wee program and let
it change your Read-Only files for you with no fuss.
