Half-Life 2: Rebels: Source: Modification



The Rebels: Source development team has released version 1.00 of their Half-life 2 multiplayer modification! Although, there seem to be a few bugs...see below.

There are a lot of problems, like multiplayer tab being bunched together. And player animations not really existant, poopy voice commands, etc. But the actual gameplay part is there (I think?).

If people show enough interest, I may go about cleaning it up or just releasing it as open source.

There probably won't be many servers (or none at all), so you may want to try and organize a time for everyone to play on the forums.

For those not familar with this mod, here's a bit of info.:

Storyline Rebels: Source is a multiplayer mod for Half-Life 2. You and your teammates play as the rebels defending against relentless assaults from the combine in round based gameplay. Can you hold out against the combine assaults long enough? You can't do it alone.

Gameplay All players are on the same team, facing off against NPC combine. There are 2 gamemodes:

Survival: You have to hold out until the round timer hits 0. Capture the Flag: Can you capture all of the flags or defend the flags until the round ends?

Although, maps can follow many different styles than the gamemodes presented above. For example, a map could be similar to a progressive single player map, or you have to ambush a squad of combine. It's really up to the mapper. What about some King of the Hill against NPCs?

Rebels: Source is about having fun with your friends, using teamwork with your friends and blowing some combine away too.

Classes There are three classes players can choose from, each class being vital to a functioning team.

Medic Medics have a sub-machine gun. They heal themself and nearby teammates.

Support Supports can resupply teammates ammo and have a very powerful shotgun.

Soldier The Soldier is very strong in combat with an assault rifle and body armor.
